A companion to Celtic Grace, the two CDs share the same musicians, and were recorded together. Most of the tunes are well known Irish and Scottish pieces, with a few American, English and Welsh ones thrown in. It’s more or less the same ensemble as Celtric Grace, though Larkin, Barry and Mary Abbay all are gone now. They were all part of a small but tight community within a community, the local stalwarts of the Irish Society and the Robert Burns group. The two CDs grew out of Larkin coming on staff at Church of the Holy Communion, doing exclusively Celtic services for about fifteen years. The recording, conceived as fundraiser took on a life of its own when released at the church in its own concert. All the players had regular roles in Larkin’s services.
